Based on fragments from the diary and work of the author Mihail Sebastian, an eyewitness to the rise of fascism in Romania, the digital art project “Mihail Sebastian and the youth with a lily soul” aims to document the decline of democracy and the rise of extremism in Romanian society in the 1930s and 1940s.

 

The story is illustrated and animated by Liviu Bărbulescu, Răzvan Petre and Lu Pop. Historical consultancy Vlad Pașca.
